Lace up your sneakers and join us for the Shine the Light 4 Healthy Minds: Keweenaw 5K and Public Safety Day!This family-friendly 5K kicks off a day dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention. Whether you run, walk, or stroll, your participation supports Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds (KS4HM) in building a healthier, more connected community. The morning begins with the 5K run/walk and a Kids' Dash, followed by the Keweenaw County Sheriff's free Public Safety Day at Mohawk Park. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS<ul><li>5K run/walk open to all ages and fitness levels </li><li>Kids' Dash (free for children eight and under) following the 5K</li><li>Medals awarded to the top three male and female 5K finishers, and the top three Kids' Dash finishers</li><li>Free hot dogs and refreshments </li><li>T-shirts available for early registrants (while supplies last)</li></ul>EVENT SCHEDULE<ul><li>9:00 AM: Race packet and T-shirt pickup</li><li>10:00 AM: 5K race starts</li><li>Following the 5K: Kids' Dash start (ages eight and under)</li><li>11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Public Safety Day</li><li>12:00 PM: Prize drawings</li></ul>RACE T-SHIRTSThe registration fee for the 5K includes a race T-shirt. To be guaranteed a race T-shirt, registrants must register by June 15th. Those who register after this date will not be guaranteed a race T-shirt.Want to show your support but don't want to participate in the 5K? T-shirts are available for order at $20. Limited quantities will also be available on the day of the event. (Cash, check, or credit card accepted on race day) DONATIONS TO KS4HMAll proceeds from the 5K — and any additional donations received during registration — will directly support Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds and their mental health outreach initiatives.
