Please carry everything you need to fix mechanical issues, extra food, and plenty of water. Also, there is very limited phone service along the route. I heard there are rest stops, where are they and what&rsquo;s at them?There will be three rest stops along the route, as well as a finish line celebration. Ride at your own pace, this is NOT a race. Many other people will be out using the trails in addition to us. Give hikers and equestrians the right of way and yield to other mountain bikers going in the opposite direction or who want to pass. Please be friendly to other trail users: tell them how badass you are for riding from Mount Rose to South Shore and tell them how great TAMBA is. The main reason we organize this ride is to bring positive awareness to mountain biking in Tahoe. Note that a number of sensitive natural resources - including Tahoe Draba, Alpine Pincushion, and Whitebark Pine - are located adjacent to the ride route and off-trail riding is strictly prohibited.&nbsp; 5. There will be around 13 hours of daylight on September 7th. Generally, the ride will take anywhere between 8 to 12 hours to complete if you go all the way to Toad&#39;s. It&rsquo;s important to know that the ride gets harder the further you go. The highest climbs and most technical trails are in the last 20 miles. Remember, this is a tough ride, even for the hardy. 6. Multiple bail-out options exist along the route, and we will have three rest stops available for riders. The first rest stop will be at Spooner Lake State Park, the second one just off Kingsbury Grade, and a final, smaller one with limited supplies at Armstrong Pass. We&#39;ll follow up with more details about the times these stops will be operational shortly. Note that the cut-off time for Armstrong Pass is 6:00pm. Water is limited along the route. You can fill up at the rest stops but after that only in streams. There is one small creek in Mott Canyon, then a trickle from Freel Peak about &frac12; mile after Star Lake, and then another stream on the back side of Freel as you drop towards Armstrong.
