**Parade Date &amp; Time:** Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. (Line-up from 5 to 6 p.m.) **Christmas Parade Float Guidelines &amp; Application**   **Application Deadline:** Wednesday, November 26, 2025   **Mandatory Parade and Public Safety Meeting:** Monday, December 1, 2025, at 6 p.m. (via Zoom) The Webb City Historic Downtown Christmas Parade will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. This is a City of Webb City event. GENERAL RULES: The City of Webb City's Christmas Parade is an entertainment event celebrating the holiday season by showcasing the goodwill of its participants to all attendees. It is not a venue for political campaigning or promoting divisive agendas. The parade organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any applicant for any reason. Political campaigning is not permitted, and no political literature may be distributed. Political banners or buttons cannot be displayed on your unit or by those in your unit. Any floats, vehicles, or parade participants not in compliance with the following rules and guidelines will be removed from the parade. **PARADE STAFF:** Parade staff will assist you at line-up and egress throughout the parade route. They are authorized to enforce the rules of the parade and have the right to pull entries that do not comply with the rules and regulations. If you have any questions or need assistance while at the parade, official staff will be wearing identifiable vests and shirts, and WCPD officers will also be present to assist. **THE SANTA CLAUS:** THERE IS ONLY ONE SANTA CLAUS AND ONLY ONE MRS. CLAUS in the Webb City Christmas Parade. They will be joining us at the end of the parade. No living imposters will be accepted or allowed in the Webb City Christmas Parade. Santa hats and other beloved Christmas characters are allowed, except for the Grinch. There shall be only one Grinch, who will be associated with the WCPD entry. **CONDUCT STANDARD:** The City of Webb City Christmas Parade is a family-oriented event, and all participants must perform in a tasteful manner. Obscene or offensive gestures and foul language (including music lyrics) will not be tolerated, and participants will be immediately removed from the procession. **LINE-UP:** Entrants will line up on either side of Stadium Drive, facing west, and must enter Stadium Drive from Madison. Event staff will be on-site to direct entrants for placement. Only floats, parade entrants, and event staff will be allowed in the line-up area. All materials, decorations, etc., must be on the float before line-up. Participants must report for line-up no later than 6 p.m. **ENTRIES:** There are two (2) categories of entries: **FLOAT** (large vehicles, trucks &amp; trailers)  **NON-FLOAT** (marching/walking groups, cars &amp; bands). An entry must be submitted with a completed Parade Application by December 1, 2025. The application will be submitted digitally upon completion and payment of this online form. **ENTRY FEE:** The parade/application fee is $10. Non-profit entries are $5. Schools, bands, churches, and first responders are free. The application fee is non-refundable. **ENTRANT LIGHTING:** This event is in the evening; therefore, entries MUST BE decorated in a holiday theme and lighted to participate and be eligible for judging. All floats and vehicles will be inspected by event staff before the parade starts. Any float or entrant not in compliance will be removed from the parade. **ENTRY SIZE:** Due to overhead electrical wires and obstructions on the parade route, entries must not exceed 14 feet in height from the ground to the top of the float. **ENTRY SIGNAGE:** All parade entries must have a visible banner or sign identifying their group or organization. Entries registered as "individuals" cannot promote a commercial product or company. **TEAM LEADER:** Parade entries must select one (1) person to be their Parade Team Leader/Spokesperson. The Parade Team Leader will be the primary contact person for the parade organizers to correspond with before, during, and after the parade and should be the only person contacting our parade staff members with questions. This designee must be 21 years of age or older and must attend the mandatory information and public safety meeting. **PULL VEHICLES:** A pull vehicle may be a car, pick-up truck, semi-truck cab, or tractor that is suitable in size and weight to pull the trailer. Horns, blinkers, brakes, etc., must be in good working order. **POINT PEOPLE:** It is the responsibility of each entry to help maintain safety and ensure an orderly parade. Each entry is legally responsible for any accidents associated with that entry. All float entries must be accompanied by 4 float walkers (2 on each side of the float) for safety purposes. These walkers must be in addition to any walkers who may be handing out items. It is the Point Person's responsibility to observe riders on their float and the walkers for any signs of a problem and notify the driver to stop immediately. **ADDITIONAL SAFETY:** No person is allowed to get on or off a float after the parade begins, except for emergency reasons. In the case of an emergency, the vehicle should pull over safely.
