By completing the form you are also adhering to our code of conduct agreement below: CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of our Mar Addai Language School is to teach the faith and doctrine of the Assyrian Church of the East, along with the Assyrian mother tongue. Our goal is to enrich students with the ability to read, comprehend, and speak the Assyrian language clearly.  The purpose of our Children’s Ministry is to nurture lifelong, healthy, and growing relationships with Jesus, according to the Faith, Tradition, Liturgy and Sacraments of the Assyrian Church of the East, helping children understand and embrace God's love and His plan for humanity. TIME: Classes start Wednesday 5:00PM SHARP to 7:30PMDrop off time between 4:45PM to 5PMBell rings at 5:00PMPrayer to be performed in class by teacher   ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Attendance: Consistent attendance directly correlates with improved academic performance and knowledge retention.  Class Preparedness: We kindly ask that students come to class prepared each week, bringing their books, notebook, and a pencil.  Dress Code: Knee-length shorts are acceptable; however, flipflops, sandals, and spaghetti strap tops are not permitted.  PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS: School Access: For the safety and focus of our students, we kindly ask that parents refrain from entering the hallways or classrooms during school hours.  Parent Meetings: We respectfully request that parents attend all scheduled meetings, as your involvement is essential to your child's success and the school community. Communication of Concerns: If you have any concerns or complaints, please direct them to the language school principal or children ministry coordinator. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may then be brought to the attention of the Parish Priest. Dismissal Protocols:<ol><li>Mandatory signing: Use the official check-in/check-out sheets for all student pickups.</li><li>Authorized updates: Notify staff in advance if you are picking up multiple students or authorized friends.</li><li>Immediate departure: Vacate the facility and parking lot immediately after signing out your child.</li><li>Facility closure: Ensure children do not remain on the grounds so volunteers can secure</li></ol>Supporting Student Learning: We encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s learning by supporting them in completing their homework regularly. Additional information will be provided by the teachers.  Involvement in School Activities: Parents play a vital role in our school community. Your assistance and participation in school events, activities, and fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated.  Volunteer Opportunities: We kindly ask parents to sign up to assist during school hours—this may include distributing snacks, helping with games and activities, or supervising outdoor play.  Dinner Donations: Donations of dinner are always appreciated and help us provide a welcoming environment for all students.  SOCIAL MEDIA: In alignment with modern communication practices, the school utilizes various social media platforms to share important updates, announcements, and information regarding school activities and events. To maintain this environment, all students are expected to adhere to the following policies and behavioral guidelines. All disciplinary matters—including suspension or expulsion—will be handled at the discretion of the Parish Priest, who may delegate authority to the School Coordinator and the Parish Coordinator of Christian Education. Disciplinary actions will be guided by the principles outlined below:  STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:<ol><li>Attendance &amp; Preparedness<ul><li>I will attend at least 80% of scheduled classes and arrive on time. </li><li>I will come prepared with all necessary materials, including textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and completed homework assignments. </li></ul></li><li>Communication Tools<ul><li>WhatsApp/Google classroom will be used to share assignments, announcements, and important updates. </li><li>I will ensure that the appropriate app is downloaded and monitored regularly by me and/or my parents. </li></ul></li><li>Respect for People and Property<ul><li>I will show respect for myself, others, Church staff, classmates, and all Church and school property. </li><li>I will behave in a manner that reflects Christian values both inside and outside of the classroom. </li></ul></li><li>Classroom Behavior<ul><li>I will actively participate in class, listen attentively, and treat my teachers and peers with courtesy and respect. </li><li>I will use respectful and appropriate language at all times. Profanity or offensive language is strictly prohibited.</li></ul></li><li>Positive Attitude<ul><li>I will be an encourager, not someone who ridicules, mocks, or criticizes others. </li><li>I will strive to build others up and contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.</li></ul></li><li>Dress Code<ul><li>I will wear modest and respectful clothing appropriate for a Christian learning environment. </li><li>Revealing attire such as tank tops, short shorts (e.g., "daisy dukes"), or spiritually inappropriate clothing is not allowed. </li><li>Flip-flops are not permitted for safety and to maintain the respectful tone of the school.</li></ul></li><li>Conflict Resolution<ul><li>I will handle anger or disagreements in a peaceful and constructive manner. </li><li>If I feel unsafe or experience bullying, I will report it to the School Coordinator or inform my parents immediately.</li></ul></li><li>Technology Use<ul><li>Personal electronic devices, including cell phones, iPods, and entertainment devices, are not to be used during class time unless explicitly permitted.</li></ul></li><li>Bullying and Misconduct <ul><li>I will not participate in or support any form of bullying, cyberbullying, slandering, or derogatory behavior. </li><li>I will avoid any behavior that is inconsistent with Christian values.</li></ul></li><li>Zero Tolerance for Violence<ul><li>Any form of violence or threatening behavior will result in immediate expulsion from the Mar Addai Parish School. By enrolling in Mar Addai Parish School, students and parents acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these expectations. We are committed to working together in faith, learning, and mutual respect.</li></ul></li><li>SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS<ul><li>At Mar Addai Parish School, we deeply value the importance of inclusive education and recognize the unique needs of students requiring specialized support. However, due to current limitations in resources, instructional materials, and access to specially trained educators, we are not equipped to provide adequate services for students with special needs within our program.
