We're bringing movies back to Seward this winter! Since 2015, our amazing sponsors have helped the Seward Arts Council bring a bit of Hollywood to Seward during our dark winter months! In order to make the series happen, we need to raise funds to rent the Rae building, purchase movies, acquire licenses (to keep us on the right side of the law), and buy treats to keep our volunteers coming to run the show! This year we are planning on at least 20 Friday Movie nights - each with two movies oriented to 18 and under. To cover our expenses, we need to raise at least $5000~! This is where our community movie sponsors come in! In exchange for a $250 donation to support the movies (The Seward Arts Council is a 501(c)3 charity), your business, fishing boat, or family will be thanked on our Facebook page and we will put up a slide of your store, boat, family, or pet dog along with a thank you message before each movie this year (each slide runs for about 15-25 seconds several times before each movie). The earlier you sign up and provide us with a slide to show the more weeks it will run - our first scheduled night will be Next Friday September 25th - and slides can come in any format (PDF, JPG, GIF, PPT...etc). Last year we added a $25 individual/family sponsorship (you can buy more than one). Lots of folks contributed and some even sent photos for the slideshow). Lots of people want to help keep the series going (or even getting larger) so here is a way that anyone can help financially. We will have a donor thank you slide each week to recognize your support! We use Zeffy because they don't take any fees to use a credit card. (when you're checking out go to the 'learn more' link for details how you can remove the fee for you too) If you would rather use a check please send an email and we will tell you how! For questions about the series, your slide, or how you can help, please send us an email at sewardalaskamovies@gmail.com 🎬❄️
