The George Washington Carver Community Center will be hosting our annual All Girl Lock In. This is an overnight experience full of discussions, workstations, presentations, small group sessions and rotations, activities and so much more! Our female volunteers will come out, have a discussion with our youth while exposing them to their career and field of work. Exposing our scholars to different avenues helps create interest in areas where there wasn’t any previously and opens the doors to amazing opportunities. Dinner will be served as well as snacks throughout the night. In the morning, our youth will have a light breakfast, prior to departure. Drop off is 6pm on Friday 11/13/2026 and pickup is 8 am Saturday 11/14/2026. It is recommended that our young ladies pack a sleeping bag/pillow or blanket if they plan to sleep, tooth brush/toothpaste, and comfy warm clothes for the evening. The young women will not be allowed to leave throughout the session and MUST be signed in and out during arrival and departure. This is for youth 10 + years of age. Adult supervision will be provided throughout the night, even when youth are sleeping. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the link provided. We appreciate you all!
