The UAB Blazers men's basketball team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The Blazers compete as a member of the American Conference and play their home games at Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The team is coached by Andy Kennedy. UAB has appeared in the NCAA tournament 17 times, most recently in 2024.

The Birmingham Barons are a Minor League Baseball team based in Birmingham, Alabama. The team, which plays in the Southern League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and plays at Regions Field in downtown Birmingham. The Barons were previously located in Montgomery, Alabama, and known as the Montgomery Rebels.

The team relocated from Wichita, Kansas, in 2008, where it was known as the Wichita Wranglers.

They are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Wolves play home games at the Allstate Arena. The DePaul Blue Demons basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate basketball program of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. The team competes in the Big East Conference. The Blue Demons play home games at Wintrust Arena at the McCormick Place convention center on Chicago's Near South Side.

The Windy City ThunderBolts are a professional baseball team based in Crestwood, Illinois. The ThunderBolts compete in the Frontier League (FL) as a member of the West Division in the Midwest Conference. The team is owned by Franchise Sports LLC, playing its home games at Ozinga Field.

The franchise was established as the Will County Claws on February 21, 1994, and began play in the 1995 season. Franchise Sports LLC then bought the team in May 1998, and relocated the team to Windy City prior to the 1999 season, making them the first baseball franchise to play at Ozinga Field. The team was renamed the ThunderBolts in 2003.

The Indy Fuel are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2014–15 season.
