We will cover 4 phases of a jump: Set up, take-off, flight position, anchoring and landing body alignment. Training will also entail waking up the fast twitch muscles with several exercises. These become even more important in axels and doubles. Developing these skills at an early age will make more difficult jumps easier.
Mondays 5:30 -6:00pm

9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, & 11/16
The focus of this class is to strengthen back outside to forward outside edge with proper body positioning in the preparation heading into take off, becoming aware of the importance of being over the circle, and stepping out in the lead up to the take off, how to generate energy that will be released in the "spring" to convert horizontal velocity into vertical height. Development of quick twitch muscles for quick reaction into the flight position, then strengthening load and unload positions along with proper landing position. Exercises for the prep, take-off, flight position and landing will be performed. Appropriate for those in Aspire 4 and up.
