2026 Fall Livestock Validation &ndash; Late Tag Orders What is Livestock Validation?Livestock validation is the process used to officially identify and verify livestock projects that 4-H members plan to exhibit. Validation ensures that each animal is properly identified and connected to the correct 4-H member before the show season. Livestock validation is required for animals that will be exhibited at major livestock shows and the Denton County Youth Fair. Families are responsible for ensuring their animals are properly validated by the required deadlines. Animals that are not properly validated may not be eligible to show. Late Fall Validation Tag Orders Late validation tags are available for:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Heifers</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Sheep</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Goats</li></ul>Late Tag Price: $34.00 per tag Payment must be received before validation tags will be ordered. Please order the appropriate number of tags for the animals you plan to validate. Additional information regarding validation dates, locations, and requirements will be communicated to families as validation approaches.
