Student Camp Registration & Discovery Flight

DreamFlight Charities&#39; AVCamp program looks to provide students with an opportunity to experience the wonders of flight through hands-on aviation and STEM education. From making sense of aircraft controls to navigating the skies above, participants will be enabled to view their community from a truly unique perspective!----- Your AVCamp registration may include a <a fr-original-style="" href="https://dreamflightcharities.org/discovery-flights/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">DFC Discovery Event</a>, serving as an opportunity to gauge student interest in aviation while providing a unique and memorable experience. Our discovery events also enable staff to consider comfort level, teachability, and margins of success for those interested in applying for our <a fr-original-style="" href="https://dreamflightcharities.org/training-scholarships/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">flight training scholarships</a>. Upon registering for an AVCamp experience with the addition of a discovery flight, you will receive additional instructions and access to our flight training scholarship application. Discovery flights vary depending on weather and other factors, but in general students will participate in a multi-legged flight to various airports, each having their own time at the controls with one of our Certificated Flight Instructors (CFIs). Prior to flight, students will receive brief ground school instruction and join the instructor for a standard pre-flight check of the aircraft. Parents/guardians are welcome to remain at the airport to ask questions and learn more about DreamFlight&#39;s many programs and services.

Your camp and discovery event experience includes access to our <a fr-original-style="" href="https://dreamflightcharities.org/flight-training-scholarship-application/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Flight Training Scholarship application</a>, awarding up to $6,000 to select students, taking them from zero hours up to their solo flight in an aircraft. All applications are held until students reach the age of 19, and there is no need to participate in another camp/flight experience.
