Join the 2026 Little Red Lite Swim,&nbsp; This current-assisted Hudson River swim brings back the spirit of the classic Little Red Lighthouse 10K, once hosted by NYC Swim, with a shorter 4-mile route from Inwood Canoe Club to the Baylander at 125th Street. Swimmers will start just south of Dyckman Street and head south along the Manhattan shoreline, passing some of the most iconic landmarks on this stretch of the Hudson: the Little Red Lighthouse, the George Washington Bridge, the Palisades, Riverbank State Park, the West Harlem waterfront, and the Baylander, a retired military vessel docked at the Hudson River Greenway. This non-competitive swim is designed as a fun, well-supported open water event for swimmers who are comfortable completing a 6.4 km / 4 mi course within the 2-hour time limit. The swim will include on-water support from kayakers, swim angels, lifeguards, and safety personnel. Organized by New York Open Water, the Little Red Lite Swim offers participants a chance to enjoy a classic stretch of the Hudson River, celebrate public access to New York City&rsquo;s waterways, and revive a beloved piece of New York open water swimming history.This is a non-timed swim. All participants are required to wear a swim buoy at all times while in the water. Swimmers must bring their own buoy. Entries are non-refundable.
