Nearly 50% of women and more than 1 in 6 men experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Even if you don’t know outright, someone in your circle has been affected. Brave Step helps us protect children.<ul><li>Brave Step equips adults — parents, caregivers, foster families, allies, and loved ones — with tools to better support and protect children.</li><li>Our Loved Ones program builds awareness and teaches adults how to respond with empathy and knowledge when a child is impacted.</li><li>By educating the adults around children, we reduce isolation, break silence, and create safer communities.</li><li>Meat Fest is a fun, approachable way to connect with this mission and see how prevention and education make a lasting difference.</li></ul> We all have a connection to this important cause. <ul><li>Statistically, we are all loved ones of someone directly impacted by sexual violence. </li><li>Brave Step provides a safe space and resources not only for survivors, but also for their loved ones who want to help but don’t always know how.</li><li>Events like Meat Fest are a chance to experience Brave Step’s mission in a low-pressure, community-centered way.</li><li>Simply showing up is a powerful first step in learning, connecting, and supporting those who need it most.</li></ul>
