This beloved event draws over 12,000 attendees and is filled with excitement, including Park Avenue Thrift Grand Firework Finale, live music, the lighting of the courthouse lawn OG+E Tree of Lights, the debut of our 4th Annual Light Show (with some fun new additions) presented by Ryan Sudlow, photos with Santa, vendors, food trucks, and Black Friday shopping! ENTRY FEES:<ul><li>Large Groups/Clubs (Multi-Car Entry): $85</li><li>Car Clubs</li><li>Commercial Business(Including Trucking Companies): $65<ul><li>This includes trucking/wrecking/electric/etc. Do not sign up as Large Group/Clubs</li></ul></li><li>Non-Profit Organization/School/Church: $40</li><li>Individual: $25</li></ul>There is a $15 for each additional vehicle in one group (excluding the vehicle pulling a float) Note: Every additional vehicle must be fully decorated for Christmas! Rules / LiabilityRULES: All entries must agree to the following rules. • Your entry must be VERY DECORATED - LOTS OF LIGHTS! • Must be under under 12 feet tall and under under 10 feet wide (due to stoplights) • Must have a clean-up crew if live animals • Must have insurance and a valid driver’s license • Vehicle operator must have a clear view • If using a generator, must have a fire extinguisher on board • Must have a method of alerting the driver (such as a whistle) to stop for an emergency • Adults must accompany children on or near the float • All riders must remain on the float for the duration of the parade - NO on &amp; off • All body parts must remain inside the float (no legs hanging off the float, no leaning over, etc.) • You are NOT allowed to throw candy or anything from your vehicle/float/entry. You may WALK along spectators to hand candy directly to spectators. If you throw anything from your vehicle/float/entry, you will be BANNED from ALL future Main Street Enid parades. It is NOT worth accidentally running over a child. Don’t do it. No exceptions. This is due to low visibility at night. • NO holding up the parade for any reason other than SAFETY • NO live or real-looking Santa or Mrs. Claus, obviously fake or blow-up ones are allowed. (The ONLY “real” Santa will be on the Courthouse Lawn visiting with children!) • NO political campaign, party, or issue - Currently serving elected officials may be invited to ride in the parade with signs identifying their current status. They may not campaign for re-election, nor hand out campaign materials. • NO offensive words, suggestions, imagery, or anything • NO riding on a hood, roof, or running board • NO backward movement, unless for emergency • NO firearms, real or fake • NO alcohol shall be consumed before or during the parade by any participant • NO high-intensity sound devices • NO candles or open flames • NO boarding a float while in motion during the Parade SAFETY: All walkers are encouraged to also be decorated with battery-powered lights during the parade. Hold a safety meeting with the float staff early. Be prepared, identify the hazards, and plan your strategy should an unexpected event occur. Identify the location of the fire extinguisher and how to shut off the generator and other electrical equipment. Identify a method to alert the driver to stop the parade float. GENERATORS: We encourage all parade entries to have illuminated items and lots of them! All electrical devices must have sufficient capacity for the use intended on the float/entry. The wiring should be properly secured to the float. Portable generators used in conjunction with float lighting must be securely mounted on a vehicle or other base. A minimum of 12 inches of clearance should separate any part of the generator from light and combustible materials, including decorations. Never refuel a generator while it is operating or while it is still hot. Allow time for the generator to cool before refueling. Avoid refueling by planning and filling the gas tank before the event. The undersigned agrees that all participants may be photographed or videotaped and that these images may be published in an outlet used to promote or publicize the event. Main Street Enid has the right to refuse any entry in the parade or to remove any entry during the parade that does not meet the standards, violates the rules, or does not fit the Christmas theme. Main Street Enid has the right to add, remove, or otherwise alter any of the rules at any time. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RULES AGREEMENT:By submitting my entry for the Enid Lights Up the Plains Christmas Lights Parade, I hereby, for myself, my child, and all participants of my entry, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any rights and claims for damages I, my child, or entry participants may have against Main Street Enid, the City of Enid, Garfield County, its representatives, successors, assigns, all sponsoring organizations, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all liabilities whatsoever arising out of its participation in the Parade, for any injuries suffered by myself or my child or entry participants at any activity associated with the Parade. I have read in its entirety the rules and the entry guidelines for participating in the Enid Lights Up the Plains Christmas Lights Parade and agree to accept full responsibility for the compliance of this entry and all participants associated therewith, and for any liability inherent with this entry’s participation in the Parade. I understand that if I fail to comply with all the guidelines and rules for participation my entry will be removed from the parade lineup.</div></div>
