About this event

In this 10-week book club, students will journey through J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit as they explore Bilbo Baggins’ adventure across Middle-earth. Each week includes lively discussions, creative activities, and opportunities to analyze characters, themes, and key events. Students will strengthen reading comprehension, share ideas with peers, and experience a classic fantasy story in a fun, engaging way.

Perfect for beginners, this hands-on lab lets students bring characters and objects to life using stop motion animation. They plan scenes, build simple sets, and create short animated films while exploring creativity, storytelling, and hands-on filmmaking.

In this hands-on, curiosity-powered class, students become real-life investigators as they test popular myths, rumors, and “life hacks.” Each week brings a new challenge—designing experiments, collecting data, and deciding once and for all whether a myth is busted, confirmed, or plausible. It’s science, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun rolled into one hour!

Students explore the art of visual storytelling as they create their own comics and graphic novels. They design characters, plan panels and layouts, write dialogue, and develop engaging storylines. Throughout the course, students build both drawing and writing skills while bringing their original ideas to life on the page.

In this hands-on class, students learn the basics of sewing both by hand and with a sewing machine. Each session focuses on practical skills, from threading needles to operating a machine, as well as completing simple, creative projects. Students build confidence, explore different techniques, and create fun, usable items while expressing their personal style.

In this hands-on class, students learn the basics of entrepreneurship by creating their own products, developing business plans, and exploring marketing strategies. The course culminates in a Market Day (date TBD), where students sell their creations, practice real-world business skills, and experience the excitement of running their own mini enterprise.

This PE course helps students build basic fitness, coordination, and teamwork skills through fun, easy-to-follow activities and games. Each week focuses on movement, strength, and personal growth in a supportive environment.

This STEAM Workshop gives students the freedom to explore their own interests through open-ended, self-directed projects. Each session offers a variety of materials, prompts, and challenge stations—but students choose how they want to spend their time. Whether they’re building structures, experimenting with art-tech mashups, designing inventions, or diving into creative problem-solving, learners set their own goals and pace. The instructor supports, mentors, and encourages curiosity while students experiment, tinker, and create in a low-pressure, choice-driven environment. This workshop is designed to spark imagination, celebrate individuality, and help students discover what they love about STEAM.

This one-time fee covers the administrative costs of setting up a new student’s enrollment and materials. Required for all new students.
