Understanding and Responding to Challenging Behaviors
Challenging behaviors can leave even experienced caregivers wondering what to do next. This interactive session will explore practical strategies for understanding the "why" behind children's behaviors. Participants will learn how the environment influences behavior, gain an understanding of the Colvin Behavior Escalation Curve, and discover a simple framework for analyzing behavior. We'll also discuss when further evaluation may be needed and how to access community resources. Attendees will leave with practical tools they can begin using right away.

Staying Centered: Finding Calm When Life Feels Out of Control
When we can't control what's happening around us, we can learn to manage what's happening within us. Based on the Breathe For Change SEL*F framework, this interactive session will introduce mindfulness and self-regulation practices that help you recognize stress, return to a state of calm, and respond with intention. You'll leave with simple, practical tools to support your own well-being while caring for others.
