This year we are proud to present Julia Angwin, award-winning investigative journalist, bestselling author, and nationally recognized voice on technology, privacy and accountability on THE COURAGE TO FIGHT FOR FREEDOM. A New York Times contributing Opinion writer and the founding director of the Independent Media + Audience Project at Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, Julia will explore what it takes to speak up, challenge powerful institutions, and stand firm in our convictions when doing so comes at a cost. Through compelling stories of individuals who have chosen courage over conformity, she will examine why dissent matters, what holds us back from speaking out, and how ordinary people can find the courage to at when it matters most.
