On behalf of the Mighty Second District Youth Leadership Conference Planning Committee, I respectfully invite your participation and support as we continue building a sustainable framework for the growth and expansion of the Mighty Second District Youth Leadership Conference.At our inaugural conference, held at Delaware State University in January 2026, we successfully served more than one hundred young men from throughout the Second District. Participants engaged in leadership development workshops, mentorship circles, college and career readiness sessions, financial literacy activities, and meaningful interactions with positive role models and community leaders. The overwhelmingly positive response from youth, parents, volunteers, presenters, and fraternity brothers demonstrated that the conference is meeting a significant need throughout our District. As we prepare for the 2027 conference and future years, our goal is not simply to fund an event but to establish a sustainable youth leadership initiative that will serve generations of young men throughout the Mighty Second District. The International Youth Leadership Conference has remained successful since 1988 because visionary Brothers, led by Brother Dr. Moses C. Norman, created a model built upon shared responsibility, volunteer leadership, sponsorship support, and a collective commitment to youth development. As discussions continue regarding Recommendation #26 and the potential designation of the International Youth Leadership Conference as a mandated committee of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Second District has an opportunity to proactively establish a district-level model that is scalable, equitable, and sustainable.
