Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX 77010  (20hrs - 1,330 miles from Troy HS)<ul><li>Mon 04/27/26 - Charter Bus departs Troy High School at 5:30 pm. If you are not there for departure, we will leave without you, without refund.</li><li>Tue  04/28/26 - 8 pm Arrival in Houston at hotel / team dinner</li><li>Wed 04/29/26 - FIRST Championship at George R. Brown Convention Center</li><li>Thur 04/30/26 - FIRST Championship at George R. Brown Convention Center</li><li>Fri    05/01/26 - FIRST Championship at George R. Brown Convention Center</li><li>Sat   05/02/26 - FIRST Championship at George R. Brown Convention Center, 6 pm Departure from Convention Center/fast food dinner</li><li>Sun  05/03/25 - Charter bus returns approx.  8pm* (time is approximate and depends on competition)</li></ul> Transportation, Costs, and Food<ul><li>Costs: $1800 /Student. Plus students will need to bring money for lunch (approx. $25/meal), beverages/snacks, merch, etc. A debit/credit is advised for your student because some vendors will only accept a card.</li><li>Food: Team will eat breakfast at the hotel (included), lunch at the event (paid by student) and dinner as a team. Students will need to bring money for extra snacks and beverages.</li><li>Transportation:  Charter Bus, through GARY BREWER GROUP TRAVEL LLC or possible Airline TBD.</li><li>Team T-Shirt: Members are required to wear our blue team T-shirt, Wednesday - Friday and team Quarter-zip on Saturday. Please contact the team coach if you need additional spirit wear. We do have a few extra for purchase $20/each.</li><li>Safety glasses: Members are required to bring their own safety glasses which is required when entering the pit area. Safety glasses can be purchased through Home Depot or local hardware stores for approximately $10.</li></ul> Expectations<ul><li>When participating in an FRC travel event, we expect the student to participate the entire duration of the event. </li><li>Our club activities are part of the school's field trip activities. Students will receive an excused absence for missed school days during regular school sessions. It will not count towards the 9 excused/unexcused absences allowed per semester. It will be the student’s responsibility to make up work and assignments missed that day. </li><li>Students will be accompanied by adult mentors and chaperones at all times.</li><li>Standard school conducts are to be followed. Breach of conduct will result in dismissal from event, and the student’s parent will be required to pick up the student immediately at your own expense.</li></ul>Parental Consent Form:<ul><li><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WiDwAiFJiHtYv5R-QU5qDQXMMO7XsQfD/view?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Consent Forms</a> must be printed as a hard copy and hand signed (cursive not print/block script) by Parent/Guardian</li><li>A scanned copy should be sent to <a href="mailto:troyhammerheads@gmail.com" target="_blank">troyhammerheads@gmail.com</a> If you do not have a scanner (don't use an app on the iPad) please turn in your signed paper copy to Coach Losey</li></ul>
