Let's taco 'bout a fun-raiser! Marion Connects is putting on their first ever Southern Illinois Taco Festival! We will be serving a variety of taco (and nacho) fillings from restaurants from throughout the region. Bulgogi, pulled pork, grilled shrimp, and the classics will be available to try, all from local restaurants. We'll also have all the toppings, virgin margaritas (with an optional cash bar), and - of course - chips, salsa, and queso! While you let your tacos digest, you can peruse our selection of amazing items donated to our silent auction as well! Early bird sales for tickets are:1 ticket - $202 tickets - $351/2 table (4 tickets & one pitcher of virgin margaritas at the table) - $65Full table (8 tickets & 2 pitchers of virgin margaritas at the table) - $125 After 2/19 (or when seats sell out), prices will go up to:1 ticket - $252 tickets - $451/2 table (4 tickets & one pitcher of virgin margaritas at the table) - $85Full table (8 tickets & 2 pitchers of virgin margaritas at the table) - $165 There's also an optional add-on of a VIP pass giving you access 15 minutes early, so you won't miss out on that taco you've been dreaming of! VIP passes are $5/person. Make sure you get your tickets early! Tickets will include unlimited chips, salsa, and drinks, as well as two basic taco tickets and one premium taco ticket (items labeled upon arrival). You can also purchase more taco tickets at the entrance. All proceeds are donated to Marion Connects, a 501c3 not-for-profit community development organization creating a stronger community through advocacy, volunteerism, growth, & renewal. We are a citizen-led collaboration dedicated to making Marion the premier place in southern Illinois to live, work, visit, shop, and play. Funds will be used for various activities put on by the group, including Third Thursdays, activities in the park, community clean ups, and more.
