Hidden Gem Cat Rescue is looking to onboard General Volunteers to assist us with replying to emails, managing social media, writing cute bios on kitties available for adoption, as well as a multitude of other tasks! If you have something you are good at and you’d like to help our rescue, let us know how you’d like to help! This position will require general organizational skills and communication skills. They will work closely with our existing Executive Director, Event Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator, and will communicate frequently with our current Foster Parents, as well as the General Public. Hidden Gem Cat Rescue needs general assistance for our organization. There are many different areas to help out in! Customer Service- We get many emails every day, keeping them sorted is a task in itself, and responding to them even more so! You must be able to navigate Gmail well, as well as Google Calendar to be able to appropriately respond to questions and inquiries that come in. As well as gauge when to appropriately reach out to a higher-up with tougher situations in conversations. Social Media- Many people enjoy our presence on social media, so it is important to stay current with comments and messages to the public. Having people available to speak to, to answer questions, direct them, or help them with navigating our website or a page helps them feel heard and seen, and is important for us to be connected to our community! Cat Bios - We need help with getting cute bios written for available cats and kittens waiting for their furever homes! They can be cute, witty, sarcastic, or whatever fits the kitty's purrsonality best. Just keep swear words out and make it family-friendly! Other - Do you have other talents or skills that could help out our rescue? Many people can sew, build, web design, or have other misc. Talents that could help us out! If you aren’t sure, reach out to us! We always appreciate the offer for assistance and so do the kitties.

Hidden Gem Cat Rescue is looking to onboard a Cat Cabbie to assist us with transportation for kitties in need! This position will require a driver's license, a safe driving record, a vehicle, and good communication skills. They will work closely with our existing Executive Director and will communicate frequently with our current Foster Parents, as well as the General Public. Hidden Gem Cat Rescue needs assistance with the Transportation of Cats and Kittens for our organization. Generally these are the areas most needed for transportation! Rescue Transport - When cats and kittens need to be surrendered to our rescue or transferred to our rescue from another organization, transportation is needed and greatly appreciated! Vet Appointments - All of our kitties reside in amazing foster homes and often need to be seen by our partnering Veterinarians for various health concerns or general wellness exams. Having an extra set of paws on board to assist us in getting these kitties to and from their appointments is very crucial! Adoption Events - If the kitties do not get scooped up immediately when posted as available, we may set up adoption events and need arranged transportation to and from the event location. Donation Collection - We often get wonderful individuals offering to donate items but ask us to pick them up, this is where our volunteer drivers may come in to assist in the collection and drop off of these donations.

Hidden Gem Cat Rescue is looking to on-board Event Volunteers to assist us with setting up and tearing down events, as well as support during the events, for Adoption Events, Outreach Events, as well as Fundraisers! This position will require general organizational skills, the ability to be active and move and lift small and large objects, stand, crouch, and bend, as well as good communication skills. They will work closely with our existing Executive Director, Event Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator, and will communicate frequently with our current Foster Parents, as well as the General Public. Hidden Gem Cat Rescue needs assistance with Events for our organization. There are many different areas to help out at an event! Cat Care- If cats are present at an event it is crucial to be making sure their needs are met, making sure they always have access to clean water, food, and a clean litter box is important. Make sure their cages are secure, or if in an event room, make sure people are being careful at the doors. Accident cleanups such as urine, feces, vomit, or most commonly spilled water dishes must be attended to in a quick and timely manner. Social Volunteer- Many people have questions about our organization or our kitties. Having people available to speak to, to answer questions, or help them with navigating our website or a page helps them feel heard and seen, and is important for us to be connected to our community! All Other - We need help with many tasks, from setup to tear down, and selling merchandise, to checking tickets upon entry, and stamping hands for those types of events!
