Join us for the 250th Revolutionary Speaker Series featuring historian and Monmouth professor, Richard Veit, Ph.D.,&nbsp; as we explore the archaeology and material culture of the Revolutionary era. &nbsp; This talk will be available both in person and on Zoom. Richard F. Veit, Ph.D., is provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs at Monmouth University and a professor of anthropology. A leading scholar of historical archaeology, he has written eight books, including Digging New Jersey&rsquo;s Past and New Jersey: A History of the Garden State, both recognized among the state&rsquo;s essential histories. His research ranges from cemeteries and commemoration to military sites and New Jersey&rsquo;s early settlements, and his work has been featured on NPR, in Archaeology Magazine, and at TEDx Navesink. Veit also serves on several regional and national boards, including the New Jersey Historical Commission and the Society for Historical Archaeology, where he is currently president.
