USAngling Sports Team Competition Payments are collected from athletes for costs associated with their upcoming participation in competitions.including but not limited to:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;" type="disc"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">World Championships</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Pan American Championships</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">National Trials</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Regional Qualifiers</li></ul>These payments are restricted and intended solely to offset competition-related expenses.Competition Payments may include costs such as:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;" type="disc"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Lodging&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Transportation&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Registration/entry fees</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Team uniforms and apparel</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Equipment transport/logistics</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Coaching and support staff expenses&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Administrative and event-related fees</li></ul>Monies collected from athletes for costs that provide a direct personal benefit (e.g., travel, lodging,competition participation) are generally not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.Participants are encouraged to consult their qualified tax advisor for guidance specific to theirindividual circumstances.
