Libation is the opening ceremony and ancestral tribute for the annual
International African Arts Festival held every 4th of July weekend. Our 8th Annual celebration will take place on Saturday, June 1st, from 4-10 pm at the Crown Hill Theatre, found at 750 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
Featured performances by artists hailing from various parts of Africa include, our headlining artist WUMMI bringing that Nigerian sound MIS BLANDINE & AFRICA LIVE representing Liberia and Congo, THE HEARTS OF STEEL ORCHESTRA and ending the night with African dance under the instruction of Madam MAIMOUNA KEITA Dance Company. Our special Guest Speaker is none other than author “She Took Justice: The Black Woman, Law, and Power,” PROF. GLORIA BROWNE MARSHALL of John Jay College.
