Have you ever wished that you could have met Abraham Lincoln? It’s not too late. In commemoration of the 160th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, for one night only, our 16th president returns courtesy of writer, actor, and storyteller Jacob Truax. Be transported to the world of Abraham Lincoln—politician, lawyer, husband, and father—as Mr. Truax masterfully weaves Lincoln’s speeches, letters, anecdotes, jokes, and other Lincolniana into an unforgettable evening.
Following the performance, please join us for a reception where Judge James Cotton, the author of The Greatest Speech, Ever: The Remarkable Story of Abraham Lincoln and his Gettysburg Address, a work that inspired and served as a resource to Jacob, will answer questions and sign books (available for purchase). Judge Cotton recently retired as Scott County's General Sessions judge after 32 years.
There will also be specialty cocktails created by Jacob inspired by Lincoln and his home state of Kentucky. Your ticket price includes one beverage.
50% of the proceeds go to support the mission of Historic Rugby.
