Bokashi Composting Class

Did you know you can compost your food scraps at home, even if you live in an apartment?

Bokashi composting is a technique that's perfect for city-dwellers and relies on fermentation techniques (just like we use for making wine, beer, and kombucha) to turn our food waste into nutrient-rich soil.

Unlike traditional composting, Bokashi composting doesn't just break down your green waste. It can also safely compost leftover meat, dairy, fruit pits, and bones!

Join us for a hands-on workshop at the Spokane Conservation District to learn all about Bokashi composting and how you can start reducing waste at home. All participants will go home equipped with new knowledge, a 5-gallon Bokashi composting set-up, and enough Bokashi bran to get composting right away.

Seats are limited to 35 attendees, so grab your spot early before we sell out!
