Join us for our 3rd Annual Gala at Del Valle Winery entitled Everyone Has A Story - An Evening to Discuss Mental Health - Moderated by 4 X Super Bowl Champion Keena Turner. This year we look forward to highlighting "The Coming of Age Years" as we explore mental health as it relates to our youth. Our speakers will share their stories of trials and triumphs related to mental health. While showing their support for A to Z Psychotherapy and by sharing their stories we hope to facilitate a larger discussion about how we can all become advocates to combat the growing mental health crisis.
We are excited to welcome Vern Glenn as our Emcee! Vern has earned 4 back-to-back Emmy Awards and in the last 6 years he has won 5 Emmy's for best Sportscaster! We are excited to have Vern on the team this year!
Isabella Pacheco, a student at Las Positas College, will share her story of resilience and perseverance related to multiple aspects of her mental health. She will courageously share her personal story and daringly challenge each of us to think about how we can best support our youth and their mental health.
Our Keynote Speaker this year is R. K. Russell, a former NFL player, a published author, poet, artist and social justice advocate.
In August of 2019, Russell made history by becoming the first out active NFL player to identify as bisexual. Now in his powerful memoir The Yards Between Us he shares his story and explores his love of football, the devastating tightrope of keeping his sexuality a secret, the tension
between his private and public life, and the importance of crashing through barriers.
We appreciate our speakers advocacy and your support in helping A to Z Psychotherapy obtain it's mission.
Tickets include food and drinks. Wine will be available for purchase.
A to Z Psychotherapy is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services to children, teens, adults, families, and couples. We understand and appreciate that each client’s life experiences are unique and specific to them. We are also mindful that the initial step of scheduling an appointment can be intimidating and difficult. Part of our mission is to reduce the anxiety, the challenges and the negative connotations and stigmas associated with mental health concerns. It is also our mission to redefine mental health therapy to better represent the diverse community we serve.
