The WPD Hero Fund is an outreach of the Ronnie Williams Foundation.  Its purpose is to assist Police Officers and their families who experience line of duty serious injury or death.  The Golf Tournament is Organized by four Wilmington Police Officers  and their families and occurs annually.  This is the first tournament at Penn Oaks and the first time it is in the fall.  


This years event has a Halloween Theme.  It allows golfers to dress in a costume of their choice, either individually or as a team.  There will be a prize for the best costume as well.

Included for the golfers is:

Golf, lunch (hamburgers/hot dogs, appetizers before dinner during cocktails, dinner, Bloody Mary and Orange Crush Cocktail to start the day, and beer on the course.  Cash bar during cocktail hour will be available. There will be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, tournament winner.  There is also a putting green contest and option to "shoot" the ball on one of the holes (token to be purchased that day).  There will  be a food truck on site for breakfast food purchase as well as other food during play.


We have had to turn people away in the past and have a limit of 136 so please don't wait to register!


Sponsorships are also available on this site.  Sponsors will be contacted for logos etc via email after they are registered and tax reciept generated real time at check out.

This years dinner is spectacular. Dinner includes Salad, Rolls and Butter, Chicken Entree, Beef and Pasta with Roasted Red Baby Bliss Potatoes, vegetable medley and assorted desserts with coffee, iced tea and lemonade
Spectator Pass

Allows entry to the patio area where putting green and putting contest will be taking place. Beer will be available there and the pub for purchasing mixed drinks is at the patio. The pass this year does not allow walking the course for insurance reasons, but the patio area is beautiful and the beer will included.
