HYC Annual Clam Slam 2024

Portland (or South Glastonbury depending on your GPS), CT

Schedule of Events:

  • 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm- Poker run
  • 2:30 pm- 3:30 pm- Serving clam chowder, clams on the half shell, steamers, and shrimp cocktail, hotdogs, hamburgers, and salads.
  • 5:00 pm- Begin cooking main entrees, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and corn-on-the-cob
  • 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm (approximately)- Serving main entrees
  • 7:00 pm- Adult raffle
  • After Dinner- Live band
  • Dusk- Bon Fire


Food:

  • Sides will include Chowder, Clams, Cocktail Shrimp, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Corn-on-the-Cob,
  • and Salads.  
  • Drinks will include Bottled water will be provided.  BYOB
  • Donations of Desserts, Salads, and Raffle Gifts are greatly appreciated!


Due to the overwhelming response in past years, we are limiting the number of attendees to 240 so please be sure to purchase tickets online early to guarantee your spot.  Ticket sales close on September 11.


Important Notes:

  • The launch ramp will be closed all day Saturday and will re-open on Sunday.  An exception has been made only for those who will be keeping their boats in the water overnight.
  • On the morning of the Clam Slam, you will be able to launch your boat until 10:00 AM
  • Volunteers are always needed to assist with various food set-up and clean-up.  If are willing to volunteer, please indicate when you purchase your tickets or contact Jeri using the contact information below.
  • FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
  •  Please note that you are responsible for full payment for all reserved tickets.
