The YHS theatre department is participating in The Cappies, which requires us to provide 60 free tickets to our musical this year. Given the cost of putting on the musical, we are seeking donations to offset the cost of these tickets. 

We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students! It opens their eyes to another side of the theatre business. Our representatives have been watching and critiquing shows all year long.

The spring musical for 2024 is Les Misérables, one of the most beloved musicals of all time. We expect each of our shows to sell out as they did last year and the year before. Each show seats 491 people. The deadline is March 8, 2024.  How does your contribution help? Our two major productions each year are costly to put on. In order to give the kids the best experience possible, we try to provide a high production value to each show. TAP funds over 90% of the costs of each production. There are expenses like microphones, electro magnets (for the set of "The Play that Goes Wrong"), hiring a fight choreographer, lumber, costumes, and more.
