Workshop Title: Feuding Parents and their Children: Unique Challenges When Providing Mental Health Services to Clients With Court Involvement Whether you are an aspiring clinician (Graduate or Undergraduate) or have had a practice for decades, this workshop is designed for professionals and students of all levels wishing to gain more understanding of unique challenges that parents and children face when seeking mental health services while the courts are involved. This workshop will be offered on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 from 11am - 2pm PST. <div style="text-align:start;text-indent:0px;width:100%;box-sizing:inherit">This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. James (Jim) Husen who is a California Licensed Psychologist, California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and California Licensed Attorney. Dr. Husen has practiced Family Law for 20 years as an attorney. He works now as a forensic psychologist and provides mental health assessments and therapy to a broad range of populations including, children, adults and families (often court connected). Come ready to engage in an interesting and encouraging dialogue about how to better understand this important population of clients.</div>All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Life Source Training Institute, Inc. This workshop will also provide any practicum students or Associate clinicians with 3 supplementary or professional development hours needed for licensure under the Board of Behavioral Sciences.  All proceeds will go directly to our non-profit for program services and reduction of mental health service fees for underprivileged communities.
