Who: Homeschooled Youth Ages 11-16What: A 3-hour interactive storytelling adventureWhen: Wednesday, July 17, 1-4pmWhere: Wildwood Gatherings, 85780 McBeth Rd, Eugene, OR What is Dungeons & Dragons? Dungeons & Dragons is an interactive storytelling adventure led by a storyteller/Dungeon Master (provided by Ivy Towers). The Dungeon Master sets the stage, explaining the scenario and setting, then inviting the players to decide what their characters will choose to do. Then players role dice to find out how successful they are in their attempt at battling a monster, casting an enchantment, or persuading a townsperson. I've heard some concerning things about Dungeons & Dragons, is it appropriate for kids? Great question! While there are some campaigns that are designed with darker story content, this campaign is hand-picked and curated by Ivy Towers to be appropriate for this age-group. There will be descriptions of monsters and battles, but nothing too gory or disturbing. We give it a PG rating.What should I bring? Just yourself! Dice and refreshments will be provided.
