Welcome to the first annual Harrison County Honey Festival!    We, at Harrison County Beekeepers, intend on delivering a festival that will embrace beekeeping, honey, and bee products in a positive light.  Our hopes are that the WV  Honey and Bee Product industry will be catapulted to a new level by offering this annual festival to celebrate our pollinator friends, their impact on ecology, and the agricultural products beekeepers within the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia produce.  10 different and educating classes will take place during this 2 day event, held at the Bridgeport Sports Complex on Forrester Dr in Bridgeport WV.  We will have a children's parade as well, featuring children dressed as their favorite pollinators, and flowers.  A amateur's barbeque cookoff will also be featured as an anchor to prospective customers.    This location brings forth easy accessibility for all.   Just a few miles off i79.  It is an outside event, and you will need to provide coverage if you so wish to have it.  Honey vendors will be given preference of a back into space so that  you will not have to transport heavy items.  First preference given to honey vendors.    Please understand that this is a honeybee focused event.   There will not be live bees on hand, but decor and items focused towards bees will embrace the theme and are encouraged.   ALL VENDORS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF WV BUSINESS LICENSE,  AS WELL AS A BRIDGEPORT BUSINESS LICENSE.  ($15 AND CAN BE PURCHASED USING <a href="https://dev.bridgeportwv.gov/document_center_uploads/d6_2022-municipal-registration-new.pdf" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">https://dev.bridgeportwv.gov/document_center_uploads/d6_2022-municipal-registration-new.pdf</a> ) This information MUST also be sent to <a href="mailto:Sec.harrisoncobeeks@gmail.com" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Sec.harrisoncobeeks@gmail.com</a> to have on record to be provided to the business auditor on location) Select crafters will be invited to this event.  NO MLM, yard sale items will be allowed. As our event will grow yearly, we have decided to give our first year early bird honey vendors, products of the hive vendors, and select crafters the option of ANCHOR pricing.   Anchor pricing will never change, no matter how big or how much our price may change.    -   A few stipulations are...   1.)  you are a vendor at the first annual festival at  the rate of $50 per 10x10 vending spot2.)  you do NOT break down your booth early3.) you do not have a lapse in yearly participation4.)  in future years the $50 rate will apply to the number of 10x10 vending spots you initially purchased  ( i.e.  if you purchase 3 spots this year, and want 4 spots next year, the $50 rate will only apply to the first three spots)
