We are looking forward to Singing in The New Year with you.   But first we have a few requests to help your evening be easy and comfortable:  <br /><br />* Bring Squish!</p><p>Bring some things to sit on during the Kirtan and for in the Tea Lounge:</p><p>Yoga mats, pillows, blankets, bolsters, backjacks, etc. ~Whatever makes you comfortable.</p><p>  <br />*Please review the parking map, and when arriving watch for our parking attendant- Denise. She will help you to find parking if you are arriving late and parking is filling up. Don’t worry- we have enough parking for everyone, however, it might be tight, and you may have to park a couple hundred feet away and/or park off pavement if you are arriving late.   <br /><br />*Doors will open at 7:00. If for some reason you arrive before this, please wait cozily in your car until we are ready for you.   <br /><br />*Please no food upstairs. Please enjoy your Habibi Treats and other foods in the downstairs community dining room. </p><p> </p><p>*Enjoy our tea lounge for conversation. The mantras by nature have the power, sound, and vibration to evoke emotion and move energy inside us. In our modern-day culture, we have lost places and times where we raise our voices and sing together, and singing is a birthright. People start to feel good, and within an hour or two, hearts are activated and there’s a deep sense of joy, connection, and hope in the room. Every time we have that experience, it’s an impression we can fall back on when we need to find that again. For over 15 years, Luna has been leading a variety of body-centered classes, sessions, workshops and retreats locally and internationally. She is a musician and international recording artist, has a BA in Community Studies, and is an activist for developing holistic and sustainable community collaboration.</div><div>“I love music. It’s one of the universal languages and it’s been something, especially when there’s intention behind it, which has opened my heart and connected me to something deeper and bigger in others as well. When I started playing guitar, I realized there was more for me—my soul just knew. I developed a drive to want to feel the vibrations of sound, and from there I started moving into spiritual environments where I would hear sacred songs. Slowly these songs started to weave themselves into what I would sing, what I would play, and where my creativity would come from. That was 18 years ago, and it just continues to evolve. As I continue to learn more about yoga, the techniques expand and open my mind even more. In this sense, bhakti kind of found me.</div><div>I have a deep curiosity, and passion for supporting people to heal, change and thrive. My authentic presence, life experiences and creative spirit provide safety and ease for others. When we feel safe, we relax, and then we can find true connection; to ourselves, to each other, and possibly to something larger. Inspired by the 5Rhythms wave, Jai Dee will carry you though a crescendo of building rhythms, and a grounding of your practice through softening. The soundscape is inspired by the beauty and vastness of ancient cultures and rhythms. Tracks are always organic; with no artificial ingredients. Jai Dee brings meditative and spiritual flows, followed by fun, playful, international grooves and savasana stillness.</div><div>“Just as there are a variety of reasons to dance in community, there are a variety of reasons to serve as a dance facilitator. We have three lots to choose from:<br />Two are next to the temple, the third is at 311 Haw Creek Road. Yes, 311 Haw Creek Road is part of the Haw Creek Commons. There is plenty of parking behind the house and perpendicular parking on the left and right sides of the driveway, Please pull all the way into lot to maximize parking availability. Overflow parking on the lawns at the commons is only available if the lawns are completely dry. If parking off road you must be completely off road and not halfway.<br />Parallel parking is available in front of 31 Bethesda Rd.<br />The neighbors have been very supportive of our event, and we in turn support the neighbors by parking in the designated areas and not hanging out by the cars.
