Fanny von Arnstein was one of the most remarkable women in early 19th-century Vienna. Her connections made her well-positioned as host of a prominent salon: she was a student of W.F. Bach, friends with C.P.E. Bach and Haydn, and a supporter of Mozart and Meyerbeer. She played a leading role in founding the Gesellschaft der Musik Freunde in Vienna, and during the Congress at Vienna, she hosted many of the greatest world leaders. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about this amazing woman and enjoy music from her salon, performed by tenor Jason McStoots and fortepianist Andrus Madsen in two remarkable and intimate salon venues.

We will be performing at The Allen Center located at the intersection of Webster and Cherry Streets in West Newton.   The GPS address is 35 Webster Street although there is no parking on site on the Webster Street side.  There is limited parking in a lot on the Cherry Street side of the building, holding 25 cars.  In addition there is on street parking on Webster Street as well as at 492 Waltham Street, one block away, at Family Access, or in a municipal lot between Cherry and Elm Streets.   Andrus Madsen newtonbaroque@gmail.com
