New York City Marathon Tote (Upcycled Orange and Blue Poncho)

There will be two bags as a part of this raffle this time. The first name selected will get first choice and the second name selected will receive the second bag.Each of the tote bags are constructed in Brooklyn using up-cycled post-race ponchos distributed to finishers in Central Park as they complete the TCS New York City Marathon hosted by NYRR. The bag has one external pocket and measures approximately 17.5”(h) x 14.0”(w) x 5.5”(d).The orange tote bag is made using the poncho distributed at the 2023 NYC Marathon.The blue tote bag bag is made using the poncho distributed at the previous NYC Marathons.

The TCS New York City Marathon hosted by New York Road Runners, is the largest marathon in the world with over 50,000 participants. Every year tens of thousands of finishers receive a beautiful post-race poncho as they make their way out of Central Park. These often get folded up and tucked into drawers and closets just to be forgotten about. Transforming it into a tote bag gives marathoners a small everyday reminder of a huge accomplishment they worked so hard to achieve.

Tickets for the raffle can be purchased in bundles on $5, $10 or $20 bundles.

100% of the proceeds of this raffle will be donated to Run4Fun. The Brooklyn-based organization was founded with a mission to empower the mental health and wellness of young people for life through the healing power of running and play. Run4Fun is currently raising funds to help purchase uniforms for their kids. Each $10 contribution will help them purchase a uniform for one child. (www.run4funusa.org)

Raffle entries are available Thursday, April 11th through Friday, April 19th at bit.ly/marathontotebag. Two winners will be selected at random and announced on Monday, April 22nd on Will’s (@william.ngo) and Run4Fun's (@run4funinternational) Instagram feeds.
