CLOWN-PROV with Rebecca Poretsky Saturday Mar 14, 2026 This 3-hour workshop is intended for clowns who could benefit from building more spontaneity, presence, and listening skills and improvisers who could benefit from building some more physical character and play skills.Things we&rsquo;ll cover include: spontaneity, listening, storytelling, making strong physical choices, and failing cheerfully.&nbsp; We&rsquo;ll explore the concepts of &ldquo;yes, and&rdquo; complicit&eacute;, status, and making your partner look good, whether it&rsquo;s a clown duo partner, an improv scene partner, or the audience as your partner.&nbsp; Most importantly, we will PLAY HARD.&nbsp; Rebecca Poretsky has been improvising for over 20 years. &nbsp;She was a company member and coach with the acclaimed BATS Improv for 10+ years, has taught improv at USF, performed with Crisis Hopkins, Un-Scripted Theater Co, and Awkward Dinner Party in SF and trained at BATS and at the Annoyance Theater in Chicago. Rebecca has trained in acting and clown at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA and red nose clown with Giovanni Fusetti in Boulder.
