Whitney Academy - Summer 2024

An enrichment program in which all classes and camps do not earn credit, but provide valuable preparation. 

The Whitney Academy offers a high-quality educational program that works best for students who want to enrich and develop their talents, skills, and interests. 

● All Classes and Camps meet on Weekdays. 

● Each class has two sessions that cover different materials, while Session I is not a requirement of Session II. 

● Camps have fewer days of attendance, while each has its own schedule. 

● Some classes meet online*, while other classes and all camps meet in-person.

Session I: Solve linear equations, solve a system of two linear equations, identify linear and nonlinear functions. Session II: Verify experimentally the properties of transformations, and understand congruence vs. similarity. Learn the Pythagorean Theorem.
Math 8, Period 2 (Room 10) - Session II

Session II: Move to Python a text-based programming language, starting with Turtle as an easy-to-use graphical environment for Python.
