MTWThF- 8:30-12:00pm Lavish Legends Writing Camp- Each week has a different theme: 7/10 - 7/14 = Fairy Tales Remix For this week, students will be taking a fairy tale of their choosing and adding twists and turns. What if Goldilocks instead met 3 faeries? What if Shrek never left his swamp? 7/31 to 8/4 = Main Character Energy For this week, students will be taking side characters and reinventing their stories as if they were the main character! If Avatar the Last Airbender was told from the perspective of the Cabbage Salesman, how would the story change? Or what about Snape's perspective instead of Harry Potter's? 8/21 to 8/25 = Scooby Doo Gang For this week, students will be solving a mystery! Calling all sleuths — you're desperately needed for a challenging case! Instructor- Chrissy Bauman- Heya! I'm Chrissy, and I've always loved reading and writing. Imagination can truly flourish in creative writing courses — while simultaneously teaching children the power of understanding different perspectives. I've tutored dozens of kids and specialize in rephrasing lessons to help each student learn at their level of understanding. My teaching style tends to include inventive games where the students and I work together to accomplish goals! A bit more about me? I'm mother to two wonderful boys. I'm currently working towards my masters in psychology and communications. I also have a professional background in business and social media/marketing.
