Dates and TimesRehearsals run Saturdays, January 25th-April 19th from 9:00-10:30 AM.  Check-in will begin at 8:55 AM. A Stagebugz instructor will greet students at the front door. Please arrive promptly by 9:00 a.m.  Parents/guardians should plan to pick up their students at 10:30 AM. If you are more than 10 minutes late, there will be an initial fee of $10, plus an additional charge of $1 per minute. Late fees can be paid onsite with cash or check or online via Venmo, but they must be paid before the next rehearsal. Not all actors will necessarily be called to every rehearsal. Actors are welcome to attend rehearsals they are not called to, but should plan on bringing a quiet activity for down time.  LocationRehearsals will take place indoors at Colorado School of Acting:7861 W Jewell Ave, Lakewood, CO 80232 Audition InformationPerformers will sign up for a 7-minute audition slot on Friday, January 24th between 4:00 and 5:30 PM, and should prepare a 60-90 second contemporary monologue of their choosing. A link to sign up for slots will be sent out a week prior to auditions. In the Blackbox Company, every actor will be placed in a substantial role with relatively equal stage time. Auditions simply help us to determine which role each actor best fits and will have the best experience in, We do our best to find a role that each child will be excited about, but please remember that in Stagebugz shows, there truly are no small parts.  Additionally, many factors go into casting a show, and not receiving their desired role is not a reflection of a performer's level of talent.   PerformanceTwo public performances will be held on Friday, April 25th at 6 PM and Saturday, April 26th at 10 AM. Performances are open to the public and tickets will be available to reserve closer to the show. Each student will receive two complimentary tickets; additional tickets are $7 ($5 for children and seniors).  Parent Volunteer HoursUnless you have chosen to opt out, a minimum of two volunteer hours are required on behalf of each student. These can be fulfilled by a parent, family member, friend, or the student if over the age of 13. Opportunities will be available throughout Stagebugz's spring season on a first-come, first-serve basis and a sign-up will be sent out after the start of rehearsals. Preparing for RehearsalActors should come to rehearsal every day with a pencil, their script, plenty of water, and a snack if needed. We also recommend bringing homework, a book, or another quiet activity to stay occupied during potential down time.  Actors should wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Please no revealing clothing or clothing with offensive, derogatory, or otherwise inappropriate language or symbols.   No weapons, props resembling weapons, or other items which could be used as or mistaken for weapons will be allowed under any circumstances. No smoking devices, drugs, or alcohol. Electronic devices should only be used for emergencies or during breaks unless prior permission has been granted. AttendanceBecause every student is vital to our productions, it is important that they are present at each rehearsal for which they are called. Families will have the opportunity to inform the directors of any pre-planned rehearsal conflicts prior to auditions so that the rehearsal schedule can be planned accordingly. Multiple unplanned absences may result in a role being reassigned so that other performers may continue rehearsing productively.  Students or parents should notify instructors as soon as possible if they are going to be late or absent. For everyone's safety, please stay home if you are sick; instructors will work with students to catch up on what they've missed. When the unexpecting town of Avonlea welcomes wildly independent red-head orphan Anne Shirley, her tendency for trouble shakes up their quiet, cozy lifestyle. But ultimately,  Anne wins over the town with her imagination and precocious charm.
