Chanukah Carnival

Event closed

The Jewish community will be gathering to celebrate the last night of Chanukah together for a family friendly Chanukah Carnival. It will be on Thursday, Dec. 14th from 4:30-6:30pm inside the warm gymnasium at DJDS. Here are some things to look forward to:

World's First Giant Lego Gelt

Hundreds of teens have been working together to build a custom 8ft pool made entirely out of Legos. We will be pouring hundreds of pounds of chocolate into the Lego pool lined with gold foil to make a massive chocolate coin. We'll be opening the Giant Lego Gelt and enjoying it at the Chanukah Carnival.

Fun Activities

Different Jewish organizations are partnering together to create a wonderful time for Jewish families in Denver. Each organization will run a carnival style booth with a Chanukah theme for everyone to enjoy. You can expect Bouncy Houses, Donut Decorating, Human Dreidel, Chocolate Gelt Eating Competition, and more!

Hostage Dedication

Hopefully the hostages will be released and home safe and sound before Chanukah. There will be a dedication in the merit of the 240 hostages at the Chanukah Carnival by having 240 people spin 240 Dreidels that say Bring Them Home on each side of Dreidel.

Gifts to orphans

Generous members of the community have been donating Legos that will be packed into gift boxes at the Chanukah Carnival. They will later be flown to Israel and handed to children that lost their parents during the recent terrorist attacks.
