Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is holding a fundraiser, with the support of our generous sponsors, Kim Hagel-Barkley, Realtor and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and MC’ed by Laura Papetti of KREM. Join us in the lovely Fireside Room at the Shriner’s Event Center in Airway Heights! It will be a fun-filled evening with a buffet dinner including vegan and gluten-free options. Tito's vodka specialty cocktails, Lumberbeard beer and Locust cider will be available for purchase. Water and soda available free of charge. We have many fabulous items for silent and live auction, so you won’t want to miss out! This is a 21-and-over event, so please have your ID handy at check-in. HEART is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization operating in Spokane and surrounding areas since 2006. Our mission is to help animals displaced by natural disasters (usually wildfires) or seized by law enforcement due to cruelty or neglect (such as puppy mills, hoarding cases, starving animal cases). When called upon by Emergency Management or law enforcement, we evacuate animals, set up emergency shelters, and provide daily care until the situation has resolved, which can be weeks or months. We have cared for thousands of animals over the 18 years of our existence.
