ABOUT THE SHOW Each anniversary show embodies The Royal and its values as a venue — a place where everyone is not only welcome, but celebrated. This year as we celebrate our 4th Birthday, themes of unity, self-worth, empowerment, and acceptance will shine through. The Royal is not just another venue, it’s a place where community is built, live performance is celebrated, and mistakes are embraced as an opportunity for change and growth - not judgment. 7:00PM HIGH STREET HARMONIXOur opening act returns to The Royal with the newly-earned title of 2025 ICCA semifinalists — none other than West Chester University’s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/hsharmonix/" target="_blank">High Street Harmonix</a> (HSX).  This co-ed, competitive a cappella group brings a fresh energy along with the perfect blend of voices that were made for this listening room. 7:45PM ORIGINAL MUSIC SHOWCASEThis year we are showcasing some of The Royal’s most talented songwriters. Every Wednesday our Open Mic Night hosts the area's most diverse musicians, comedians, poets and bands. The Royal Open Mic has become the heart of the venue and that’s in large because of the attendees and volunteers that keep the night alive. Our Executive Director is choosing 4-6 performers to highlight at our Anniversary show, to honor the gratitude of the Open Mic Night and bring more live original music to The Royal Stage.   8:30PM THE ROYAL HOUSE BANDUnder the direction of Bridgett Gordon, The Royal House Band will be performing a set of music (hand-picked by Bridgett) that embodies the mission of the venue, the struggles of the past few years, and the hope for the future of The Royal. The band consists of Royal Board Members, Staff Members, Volunteers and staunch supporters. The closing number will also feature High Street Harmonix - a performance you do not want to miss! Vocal Section:Bridgett Gordon, Erin McGinniss, Kate Breish and Kayla Reda Rhythm Section:Bernie Gillespie, Ron Schaumburg, Rico Joseph and Steve Delaney 9:45PM ALL THINGS MUST PASS Six veteran musicians come together to pay tribute to the music of George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Taking their name from George's iconic 1970 album, the band explores the creative collaboration of George and his friend and musical conspirator, Eric Clapton. The band also features music from their many accomplices, including Steve Winwood, Derek &amp; the Dominos, The Beatles, Badfinger and more. SILENT AUCTIONOur Silent Auction has been open all month and is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. PARKING: Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the parking lot of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Enter the lot on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the other side of Easton Road. Parking is available at the Glenside Train Station, but at your own risk as we are not associated or contracted with SEPTA. Street parking is also available.
