What does your body remember? The joy. The grief. The becoming. The breaking open. The healing. The moments we talk about—and the ones we carry quietly.Birth and... Monologues: The Stories Our Bodies Carry is an intimate afternoon of storytelling, reflection, and connection centered on the many experiences that shape our reproductive lives. In collaboration with Zora’s Place, a Black feminist bookstore, and The Aux Wellness Collective, we are creating a space where personal stories can be witnessed, honored, and explored beyond the boundaries of traditional healthcare. Through a series of intimate monologues, storytellers will take us inside the experiences that stay with us—pregnancy and birth, abortion, loss, fertility, parenthood, identity, trauma, healing, and the complicated emotions that can exist between them. These are not simply stories about what happened to our bodies. They are stories about who we became because of what happened to our bodies. After the monologues, we’ll move from storytelling into conversation with a moderated panel exploring the emotional, physical, mental, and holistic dimensions of reproductive health and wellness. Together, we’ll consider what it means to truly care for the whole person—and what becomes possible when we create room for experiences that are often left unspoken.* This is an afternoon to listen deeply, feel honestly, and connect meaningfully. Tickets are "pay what you can" with a $50 suggested contribution. All proceeds to support Zora’s Place + The Aux Wellness Collective + Sokana Collective. *light refreshments will be served
