TRANSMISSION is an all-ages electronic music event in Cincinnati that celebrates queer innovation across sound, technology, and experimental art. With performances by LGBTQ+ musicians, circuit-bending demonstrations, and interactive installations, the event honors the city&rsquo;s legacy in DIY electronic music and the historical contributions of the trans community to its evolution. This showcase intertwines narratives of gender representation, technology, sound, and avant-garde artistry, serving as a catalyst that pushes the boundaries of traditional music and synthesizer instrument creation. Central to TRANSMISSION is a lineup of LGBTQ+ musicians who redefine the electronic music spectrum with their diverse and innovative sounds. The event shines a spotlight on the avant-garde artistry of circuit-bending and noise exploration. This celebration of creativity and inclusivity invites enthusiasts, allies, and the curious to immerse themselves in an event that celebrates diversity and the transformative experience of art and music. TRANSMISSION honors Cincinnati&#39;s historical significance as the birthplace of circuit-bending practices. By blending past and present, the event underscores the city&rsquo;s legacy of innovation in electronic music. The event will also include partnership with other Westwood businesses like &nbsp;WONDERCADE and GAME N GROOVE. BASKETSHOP GALLERY will host an exhibition by Jordan Faye Bardgette on June 13. Bardgette is an artist and musician that goes by the performance name Transyster. For her show at BasketShop, Bardgette has created an interactive installation that utilizes pirated radio waves in dialogue with digitally manipulated images.&nbsp; TRANSMISSION&rsquo;s Main Performance Event takes a center stage at The Westside Venue, June 13th. This year&rsquo;s lineup includes performances from Fish Gills (Louisville), Laudanum Quilt (Columbus), Detatchi (Columbus), &nbsp;Sobbing (Ohio), Healing Trapeze (Covington) and Head Scientist One (Cincinnati). This All-Ages event series serves as a platform for the ongoing exploration of identity, technology, and sound, amplifying diverse voices within the ever-evolving scope of electronic music. As it marks its fifth anniversary, TRANSMISSION remains dedicated to providing a space where experimental art, technology, and marginalized voices can converge, pushing the boundaries of what electronic music and art can be.
