The Safebow Collective is a grassroots team of international and local aid workers currently providing support in Egypt and select parts of Gaza for Palestinian refugees needing support in evacuation, cash aid, food, shelter and medical assistance. Untitled, 20243 polaroids in white wooden frame, 12 x 16 inches Born in 1996, Cali, Colombia, Sebastian Acero is an artist living in New York City whose practice is focused on imagery by means of photography, fashion, mixed media and writing. On the artwork, Sebastian writes: “Pictured are three canaries and one dove. They were captured in El Quindio, a department in the Andean region of Colombia, where my parents live. It’s home to many of the country’s eminent coffee plantations. I photographed about twenty birds that afternoon. There was something unnatural and unsettling careening with me through the bushes that day. The birds that I see in these pictures are somber and indifferent, and unflinching."  Now more than ever we need to be present and active in the fight to end this horrific genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation.
