Join us for the annual Fond du Lac Care Giver Conference organized by the Fond du Lac Dementia Care Network, on September 26th, 2024 at Community Church in Fond du Lac. This is a great day of education and support for our community’s caregivers, both professional and family! This year`s keynote speaker is Marty Schreiber, former WI Governor, who will be Marty speaking on those taking on the caregiving role. More than an account of Marty’s struggles in caring for his wife, My Two Elaine`s also offers sage advice that respects the one with Alzheimer’s while maintaining the caregiver’s health. As two-thirds of those with Alzheimer’s are women, he offers special guidance for men thrust into an unexpected job. With patience, adaptability, and even a sense of humor, Marty shows how love continues for his Second Elaine.There will be additional workshops & exhibitors to attend throughout the day, as well as resources from local sponsors. Registration includes lunch and attendance.
