Come join the hunt Saturday, May 20th 2023, for the elusive Morel mushroom, our Minnesota State mushroom!

  • Experienced guides will take you on private property, less than an hour from the Twin Cities, to assist you on the hunt!

  • Prizes for the first, largest, most morels found. Keep what you find!

Top 2 fundraisers and their team of paid participants, will get to hunt the honey hole where 118 morels were found at last year's event OR be personally guided by Chick of the Woods Jaime Rockney at the event and learn about more plants as your forage morels!

  • Learn how to identify Morels

  • Learn how to clean and store Morels

  • Learn how to cook with Morels by watching and sampling at cooking demonstration

General admission to participate will be $50/person & children under the age of 12 are a donation of your choice.

*Please note, as Morels are only grow wild, and there are no guarantees you will find any

*Please dress for the woods, there are things like sharp branches, poison ivy, and wood ticks in the woods so make sure you dress accordingly


The Morels & Memories Mushroom Hunt & Alzheimer’s Fundraiser was started in honor of our mother Heidi Vanderlinde who was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in 2011, at the age of 49.  She sadly lost her battle to the disease August 2019.  As a lover of the outdoors, plants, and sunshine, we remember her with the event.  The fundraiser is now on it’s 8th year, raising almost $61,000 and counting towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.


100% of donations will be going to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, who in turn uses 100% of donations towards research!


Today, there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease.  Until then, we will hunt morel mushrooms for a cure!
