FOTH Candlelighting & Remembrance Event

Event closed

We invite our bereaved families and community members alike to join our ministry for a night of food, fellowship, and precious remembrance. We look forward to seeing you on this special night as we come together to honor and remember precious babies who are longed for or whose lives were much too brief. We have tried to include all information about this event here (and will update if needed) but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us at info@footprintsontheheart.org or 770-547-4333.

*At times we do display a slideshow, of our ministry efforts, during the event and it may contain photos of babies/families served. All photos used with permission *

Candlelighting Information:The event will begin at 5pm with a boxed sandwich meal being served upon entrance to the venue. These meals will already have been blessed so that you can begin eating. We will all light our candles together as we listen to special song selections and our guest speakers. The evening is typically over in about 2 hours. We do not want the cost to deter anyone from getting to join us on this special night. Please reach out to us as we do have some seats that have been made possible because of our generous supporters. Alternately, if you are interested in helping our ministry offset the expenses of this sacred night, please contact Khristie Staines. It is our desire to keep this event as affordable as possible for many years to come.  Ticket sales will close on September 15, 2023, with a few extra seats being reserved for families that we might be called to serve from that date until event night.
Seating:We hope to finalize seating arrangements this coming week, but tables will either seat 6 or 10 attendees.
Dress Code: Casual dress

Speakers/Singers:

We are honored to have Lexie and Devan Burris, founders of Carried By Love Foundation, as our guest speakers sharing about their grief journey.

We are honored to have Amber Biddy lending her beautiful voice for us on this night.

We are honored to have Dustan Cantrell and Craig Conway lending their time and talent performing a variety of music with us at this years candlelighting ceremony. Music has always been a big part of their life, both of 27 South, and they enjoy sharing it with others. Their performances often include original music, gospel, country, and southern rock, among other genres.

Candles: Families are invited to bring their own candle that will be lit for the duration of this event. You will take your candle back home with you at the end of the evening. Absolutely NO open flame candles (such as taper candles) will be allowed. Candles must be in a glass /metal/ceramic/etc. container that prevents the dripping of wax on table linens. If you have any questions about your candle selection do not hesitate to reach out to us. Please refrain from bringing scented candles. We will have some votive candles available as well.

The Meal Selection:Event meal catered by: Chicken Salad Chick (Cartersville). One sandwich boxed meal-selection on a first come, first served basis. ALL boxed meals will come with broccoli salad, fresh fruit, Lay's chips, pickle spear and cookie.
