Discover how to create a natural fertilizer that grows vibrant fruits, vegetables and plants. Worms are also nutritious snacks for many wildlife species and a prime bait for attracting fish. In this workshop, you will become familiarized with wormcasting, also known as vermicast, and the process of producing natural fertilizers. Each participant will receive a vermicomposting kit. Following the workshop, the Rotary Park Naturalists will lead us on tour of their native plant and pollinator gardens. A few lucky participants will get to conduct live worm releases in the garden and provide some snacks for the ambassador animals.Worms are the key to creating healthy soil production.
