This is an educational opportunity for Activators of the U.S. Plastics Pact, in collaboration with WWF, Meridian Institute, and <a href="https://www.thedescendantsproject.org/">The Descendants Project</a>.  PURPOSE: To experience the environmental justice challenges of the petrochemical industry (specifically, the plastics industry) and identify advocacy opportunities as the U.S. Plastics Pact learns and works to foster a just transition to a circular economy for packaging. Venturing out from New Orleans along the Mississippi River up toward Baton Rouge offers the opportunity to learn from communities that are at the fencelines of industry.
